When does our bike charge the battery. Is there a certain rpm range?

The alternator output varies with engine speed from idle on up. That's what AC alternators do. The rectifier changes the output to DC and the regulator keeps the output matched to what the battery "needs". When the load or battery health allows the battery voltage to fall below about 12.5 volts the regulator starts to re-charge the battery. The max alternator output should remain between 14 and just over 15 volts.
I think.
