AIR BOX VOLUME
Doing some research. I found the old zx11 air box volume to be 15 liters. The 1052cc engine
basically gets 1 liter of air for every 70 cc. Keeping this ratio consistent this means that the zx12r should have at least a 17 liter air box.
After doing an intensive search on google I can't find the air box volume for the zx12r anywhere. Anybody have this data?

I've got a frame that is striped
got any ideas, short of trying to fill it
with water , on how to measure the volume.
Just thought I'd throw that at you....

Excellent. take some lego blocks and fill up the box as neatly as you can. Start at the bottom and work your way up. Then take out the legos and place them in a square or rectangular shape. Then multiply length times width times height and that should give you the volume. I doubt it will be perfect be we can get close.

supra, please look into PROVEN modifications for performance. you will get far greater results. besides, dont you think a whole team of engineers set out to improve the zx12r air box over the zx11?

I was thinking of sticking a trash bag in the
air box, filling it with water and then measure
the water with a liter graduate.
It would be the same for the tubes with the resonators
I'm just trying to give you a hand, but be warned
I'm slow....
