Anyone familiar with WMV files? (windows media encoder)

I downloaded the Windows Media Encoder V7.01 a long time ago, and finally started playing with it recently.

I have been using DIVX with great success for .avi files, but when creating WMV files, I'm finding that my sound is HORRIBLE. It is really, really not in sync with the video, and it sounds like you're only getting low quality audio, even when the setting is for 128k or 192k. (44hz, stereo, etc)

What am I doing wrong??? I'm sure my system is not the problem.
There are even a few selections for WM8 and those are not working for me either (for good sound).

The file sizes when using WM8 are unbelieveable! I'd really like to figure out the problem with the sound.

Also, the damn video is coming out Upside Down on this WMV stuff using WME v7.1 !?! WTF is up with that!

Any idea's??

I usually get answers to my computer questions at Labusas Biketalk.

There's a few knowledgeable people there. -ZXtra
