Problem
My bike makes a noise like a wheel scraping something under acceleration. It does not do it unless I'm on the throttle. Could it be the clutch?

D,
How many miles on the bike? Sure its coming from the motor and not something rubbing (chassis/bodywork/suspension/wheel), right?
What clutch do you have in that A model? Has the 10 front and rear given you any issues from installation till now?
A.

I raised it and free wheeled it and no noise. When coasting, no noise. I'll try the 6th gear WOT in the morning. I looked it up with google and it said that it could be the clutch and to check for play and spin so I guess that's my next step. I have been getting on it hard here lately. It has 22000 and at least 6- 9 to 10 second passes at the strip. Plus a few launches with wheelies.

Problem solved. Forks were not aligned from where I installed them that way. Knowing that it was a ZX10 forks on a ZX12 when the local service shop installed my new tires. The guy told me they had to fight with the axle to get it back on. He told me they had to force the axle though. I think its my wheel bearings. It felt tight when I got it back but freed up quick. They also left enough play in my chain for me to feel it making me think it was part of the drive train. The chain had almost an inch and a half play. I aligned the forks and tighten the chain but I just think on a 185 mph sports bike you might have a mechanic that would notice these things while they are changing tires. He did notice my chained needed cleaning and I had him do that. I'm no mechanic but I think you should notice this stuff and report it should be fixed.
