ram air covers?
Hey ya'll I need some help awhile back I got a name and a phone number from one of you all about some CF 1 piece ram air covers, I hae misplaced that number for Hans, and am in Kuwait and cant remember where to tell the wife to look, if someone can email me that info again I would greatly appreciate it.... the addy is KandJ@coastalnow.net

Stealing is a bad news thing in the Middle East. The penalty is shall we say severe! I spent some time in Saudi and Kuwait in 74. I was offered buckets of money and I just didn't like the damn place. I am sure it has changed some since then, but the heat is pretty amazing. Although it is dry heat versus the jungles of Southeast Asia.

I lived in Taif, Saudi Arabia for about a year. It gets so hot so early in the day. Supposedly, if you get caught stealing, they cut the hand off that you stole from. I dont know if there is any truth to that. But I did see the public beatings on Fridays, and heard that you can make an appointment to sit in on a beheading.
But one thing is for sure, the best donuts from a place called House of Donuts in Saudi were fabulous, much better then Krispy Kremes.

You ever wonder what the exact ingredients were? You didn't get the munchies after eating the donuts did you!!! 
Your comment about the heat early in the day is what struck me as amazing when I was there. And it stayed hot seemingly almost alnight as well. It was/is like living in forge!

It is way freaking hot here, and nothing but sand, and if they have built this place up since the 70's then i am afraid to see what is was like then, cause its a shithole now. and yes you can lose body parts here for stealing....

desert camo ZX12R???
Now you all have me thinking, a desert camo ZX12R, stretch it 3 or 4 inches, add a paddle wagon back tire, good knobby on the front, and ya got yerself one helluva hill climping bike....ehheheheh dont think i want to be the first to try it though, no sir not me.... would like to see it run though, with about a 52 tooth sprocket on the back, man would htat be wicked. Oh before i forget to tell ya, the dam snakes and spiders are comming out too this time of year, they have killed 7 sand vipers in the past few days, and have seen a lot of tratnulas and camel spiders. if it has more than 4 legs or less than 2, i aint meesin wiht it....see ya'll

NO not at Doha, we are at one of the Kabals about 50 miles north of there. As I write this I sit aproxamitely 30 miles from the border of Iraq. Its pretty quiet around here right now, lets hope it stays that way so I can make a Deals gap VI or VII am suppose to redeploy in end of march begining of april. As long as the president doesnt get us going over the berm. If that happens who knows when i will make it home. later all

well Redelk it looks like you are correct, it doesnt look good for the home team, but hey that is why we are here, and if he wants to dance again , well I just might have to lead. run off the gap.....dont jinx me now there Z.....I try not to make that a habit, have riddin the gap a few times and havent had that problem yet, though i have witnessed it a few times. And my gf got ran off the road up there this past summer by a cage....was taken to Andrews, the people there were great. later all....Jim Oh and Z, if it werent for the old soldiers, us younger ones wouldnt have a chance to what we do.....thanks man

I spent three years active duty. Have been out on the inactive list since 1998. But I just came down on orders last Friday, really sucks. I gotta go this December overseas, looks like Iraq.
I wont be back until next year, early as September, as late as December. Not good, looks like the ole 12 is getting parked for long term now. It's gonna suck if I cant ride it till 2004.
But I wont sell it, no matter what. Even it does depreciate faster then bunnies breed.

It's things like being able to own a ZX12, able ride around our beautiful country freely, participate in open forums of diiscussion, honestly disagree with one another and yes on occassion even disagree with our government that makes our country special and worth defending. As you guys go off to the middle east be proud of yourselves and take comfort in the fact that it is you guys, the soldiers, that make our armed forces the best in the world.
And for what it is worth, take comfort that if there is a conflict that unlike Viet Nam, the Country and the Commander and Chief are committed to carry out this conflict in a quick and decisive manner. And they are willing to let soldiers make decissions instead of politicians. Again I salute you gentlemen.
