Hey, I used to write operating systems for CPM (BDOS/BIOS). I remember when Turbo Pascal 1 came out for CPM, I thought I was in heaven. I was using Digital Research's Pascal to write the utilitys, and compile time was sooooo sllloooowwwww.

Actually I like Windows, the Win32 API is my friend. Doesn't mean it is dependable or easy to use, but it I can make it do what I want(mostly) and there are all sorts of hidden features in there.

Even though it's a NOS, Network Operating System, I'd choose Netware because in the 8 years that I've been doing this, it's proven to be faster, more secure, stable, and reliable than the others,Just like our 12s

Bikes are most like Linux. Ie; most of us make it look like what we want, and get under the covers and crank it up!
