Its an 02 zx12r. I have no idea on how to pull the codes. I've been told to connect to a wire and then ground it to the frame of the bike...etc. What shape is the Muzzy in and do you have pic's? oh and how much?

ill get you some pics
i think the 02 is the same as the 00 and 01 in the ground out the wire feature. (ive only worked with the first gen 12s) in the tail theres a yellow wire coming out of a plug that goes to nothing. ground it out for more than 2 seconds and keep it grounded to show the code. the code will flash the fi light in a combo of long and then short flashes. then it will repeat. long then short. count the number of long then short. the fault codes are 11 to 54. 11 is one long one short, 54 is 5 long 4 short. see the pattern?
if your ecu is fukked i know a guy with one for an 02. but its probly just a loose wire or bad sensor

it was on the bike when i got it, then i went with a full system. it needs a new tag if you are a perfectionist as its held on with 3 rivits instead of 2, and the rubber strap is missing from the hanger and its marked up by having been held loosly by the metal hanger. most of which would be covered up with the rubber piece. (i dont have it). its really loud, as its a straight shot thru, no restriction, and even louder if you take the packing out. its more for looks and sound and is lighter, maybe a couple hp over stock
this is one of the better pics i have on hand(really old pic), i can get close ups if you want. its been in dads shop since mid summer 07

The should help. The yellow wire your looking for (A) in the first picure, is unconnected on one end but leads into a block of about 4 other wires on the other. You need to ground the unconnected end to the frame.
