STOLEN ZX-12R: Black 2005 from Northern VA
Posting this for a buddy of mine who's on the board too. Just told me he came back home and found his bike gone. I believe covered and locked but unfortunately still out in the open. Aftermarket levers, I think Yosh pipe, pc3 USB, Dynojet logger?, 17T front w/stock rear, Stock arm, stock wheels, light rash from being dropped by the wind, upper was slightly cracked near mirror area.
...anyone who sees or hears anything please post up or PM him (CRAZI) on the board.

Yep... I'm over here too.
Keep trying to look on the bright side about this but I can't think of one bike that can replace the 12...

The bike went 184.7 mph -1 up front hard on the limiter, early at about the 6/10ths mark...maybe 7/10ths

is that same northern virginia area like winchester/leesburg ect? i have a shop that gets ALOT of Va work, in Martinsburg Wv.
i will be vigilant.

when you report a VIN to something stolen, it goes into a national database, supposedly.. i'm wondering if maybe i shouldn't start posting an updated list in the shop for just such an occasion....

Two years ago, my house was broken into and among other things, my car was stolen. I feel lucky that I rode to work that day, otherwise, my 12 would have been out the door too. Really sorry to hear about your loss. Believe me, I know what it feels like...

Leesburg isn't far....Winchester is a bit farther out but still not that far. Bike was taken from Woodbridge.

right on.. i get bikes from there, too.. as far (so far) as goochland co.
My 7 was stolen and gone for 10 months before a i found it again.. i KNEW 100% who had it. that cocksucker hid it well.. but only for 10 months.

We all work hard to get the things we have and we work even harder to maintain them...suddenly some low-life comes along and takes it all. I hope they catch the sorry SOB and put him away. If he was working in a crew, I hope they put 'em all away.

3 prominent scenarios
1- its run a nearby drag strips............nothing is ever checked
if the Vin & engine #'s are altered or removed
simply dont need them to race........................when it blows after being flogged
essentially its sold for parts
2- taken down for parts to start with.................worth much more
apart as opposed to ridable
many wont question good..........available ..........cheap parts
3- his 12 was down because itwas broke.....................& he needed the
bike to resurrect his own
all very difficult to catch
