Kind words of encouragement.
Just wanted to share some kind words of encouragement I recieved from one of my riding buddies here in Topeka.
Talking about my ordeal with X-girlfriend Deidra.

Sorry to hear about the rocky times....
I have always been a pretty good judge of character and can tell a lot about people by just observing their actions. She never did impress anything good in my mind. She was always interested in checking out guys and their assets (you know the physical ones). All around not so nice of a girl.
We have all dealt with an individual like that at one time or another and they are all the same....use and abuse.
Just remember-trust and respect are earned.
We can only be true to ourselves. True friends and family are irreplaceable.
Good luck in all you do! and please keep in touch....

Very nice words. Not really sure why I wanted to share them other than they make me feel better, and maybe someone else in the same situation (I hope not) would benefit from them as well..

How coincidental. My parents have been married for 41 years, completely in love, he still sends her cards and flowers at least once or twice a month. I've never seen them fight, ya get the idea... Anyway, what my father has always told me is that there are two things that are absolutely necessary for a successful relationship and that is Trust and Respect. Period. Once you lose one of them, it'll end soon enough. And your friend is right those things are earned, tough to get but easy to break. Hang in there buddy, you'll be alright.

Thanks Otis and Angie. I feel soooo much better now that I can think logically with my mind instead of my heart. I am glad what happened happened when it did, instead of months later or when I had more invested in her. She will get what is coming to her. She has used up her friends around here. Most of them know what she is really like now anyway, and I found out who my real friends are, and some of them I didn't really even know that well.
