HELD gloves are defintely the BEST hands down... but they are super expensive.. only available through http://www.helimot.com (who we met this summer).... Helimot is a fuckin excellent guy... his leathers are beyond top notch... he is a true biker through and through and if I had the choice of paying top dollar for something it would definetly be to him as he is most certainly one of us!

I bought a pair of the ones with the kevlar weave on the backs. (I don't remember the number off hand)

They look like quality gloves. Unfortunatly, I've never really made peace with them and I haven't worn them very much.

They do not really vent very well, and the kevlar stuff is thick which makes them stiff. If I were to buy again, I would buy some different Held gloves.

I've got some vented Fieldsheers that I like, and some lightweight perforated Tekniques that are ok.

My favorite gloves are still my regular Firstgear gloves.

(You have to understand that I'm a big fat whiney crybaby about comfort)

Expensive?

I have always bought Held gloves because they are very good, reasonably cheep for what they are (compared to a pair of kushitani gloves) and they fit.
I have VERY big hands and kushitani XL is a joke.

that's where I get my gloves.

I've never thought of them as expensive.
The only thing I'll say about them is that the metal studs in the paslm of hte hand aren't great. But they work when you hit the road. I can tell you that from first hand experience.

I don't remember the size (8 1/2 maybe?) But I generally wear a large.

I hadn't really ever considered selling them, but all of a sudden there are several people who seem interested.

Let me think about it, I may be needing money sometime soon.

I'll post on it if I decide to sell them.

I like my Helds. I bought them at the local BMW store in seattle. They had a pretty good selection. I hate mail ordering stuff like that cause it never fits when you get it.

Held Gloves

I have used some Held gloves this entire season now. I must say that I love them completely, and will probably never switch to any other brand. Very Comfortable. Great quality and great protection.

Held

haha

my mate owns a custom leather shop in UK...sole UK importer of MJK leathers http://www.glfacc.demon.co.uk/

now, he has just started stocking these gloves as he reckons they are cracking good.

I have the Held book right here, if any of you want any info on the gloves, or leather, or the kevlar / carbon weave or anything...

Gloves

Sorry Dude, I can't find a part # on the gloves. They are definately not Held's top model, I only paid like 60 bucks for them. My next pair will probably be Held's top model.... but not for a while, these still have a lot of miles left in them.

Held gloves

Held are not that big over here in the UK. Try something like Alpinestars GP Plus, or Joe Rocket. I have been using both this year and have been very happy with fit, comfort, feel and general wear and tear. Protection is pretty good from both too. Price-wise I think that they are both around the £100 mark (150 dollars?).
Bit spolit really as I work for Two Wheels Only magazine and the kit is all for 'testing'.

Held Gloves

Was taking some pictures of our equipment after our ride Sunday to show my friend in Kosovo the mess we came back with. The wife came flying by on a 6th gear roll on we were doing when we went through the bug swarm from hell.
She turned around just shaking her head. I could hardly see through my shield for all the shit. We went right to a BP station and used half a bottle of windex and an untold number of paper towels cleaning the mess. ANYWAY.....I have Held gloves and love them. They are model 2277. The PROFI glove they are called. Would recommend them to anyone.

Fish was talking about Helimot and I agree 100%. A very cool guy and real motorcyclist for sure. He had a pair of boots made specifically for him by Frey-Daytona and they sell them now. They are called Trans Open Tour GTX. I bought them from him with the gloves and they are the best boots I have ever had bar none. Very comfortable and adjustable. Zippers on each side let you unzip the entire front section and step out comfortably. The back calf section is adjustable too. Top German quality...just like the gloves.
