Bike Wattage
Does anyone know the wattage draw of a 2001 A1 while its running ?
I am trying to calculate how much extra alternator wattage is left over while the bike is running becuase I was thinking fog lights and heated grips......

manual info: 14,2V - 15,2V at the controller
your fog lights + heated grips should work without any problems !!!

Thats voltage, he needs to know wattage. How much current the alternator is able to provide..

Actually I already know the alternator has an output of 35amps or approx. 500watts @14VDC. I wanna know how much of that 500Watts is left over after you subtract the power used by the bike ( FI system, Ign system, lights, guages etc. )

Mr Hill should have that info......Im curious too, because some people have trouble running
aftermarket headlamps that are hight wattage than the 55? watt oem lamps

Why not measure it?
Pull out the the fuses one at a time and put an Amp Meter across the terminals and measure the the amount of current while the bike is running and hot (fan current) with the brake lights on. Then add up the current from the individual branch circuits to figure out total current.

Cuase I am a LAZY AZZ :P
I was kinda hoping someone would just know the amperage draw measurements.
I do have all the gear needed at work just kinda busy right now
