If it's a 2000 model, repace the basket with a billet basket. It wont help performance but will stop losing an engine!
We found that over 180hp we started to crack baskets on the 2000 model. Post that will handle a few more ponies but would still recommned a billet basket to protect from drama.
Muzzys sell a performance kit which has three strong springs. I would recommend that and their basket.
Use standard fibres and 2mm steels. Keep an eye on stack hieght.

the 01 basket is the same as the 00. 02 + are a bit stronger, but not as strong as billet
you wont need a lock up with the 3 stiff springs unless you get really serious

Your problem is simple, the clutch is out of adjustment........
Get it back into factory specs..........

A Muzzy kit (nothing magic here- it just gets you all the necessary parts in one box), when installed according to the instructions works just fine in the street. If you don't over slip on the launches it will last a very long time. Start with that.

slip it for a long duration of time trying to prevent a wheelie while holding it WFO
the muzzy kit puts you into the low range of stack height spec. just add the correct amount of steels (you can stack steels back to back) to bring it to the high end of the spec so it lasts even longer. example, take out a 2mm steel and replace it with two 1.6s. adds 1.2mm to stack height....

Put a stock clutch in it, and be done........
I have seen more money wasted on all that muzzy clutch stuff.
Hubs and baskets, yes, plates, not needed. A stock clutch pack is fine.
But what would I know......., I am not sponsored by muzzys, so I must be stupid.

I have had stock clutches go over 900 passes........., and half of them in the 1.3s in 60 ft.
The thick steels are a good thing at times, as your stack height must be correct, but the stock fibers will last a long time.........
Look at Crotch Rocket, he uses em, and he is full on hand clutching it..........

When it comes to ZX-12R clutches, few have the experience and knowledge to rival NOX.... I'd listen to him.
FWIW, I've been running a 100% stock 03 clutch and 6 heavy springs on my 200rwhp N/A ZX-12R with great success both on the track and street.
NOX- I'm getting a hold of an MTC 2 stage lockup soon, being that I'm going to be running in excess of 250rwhp at Maxton. Any tips/advice/suggestions on install and/or set-up that you would be so kind to share with a fellow racer of a different dicipline?

250HP on a 12 at Maxton, too cool! Be sure to slap a couple of Tiger stickers on,
you never know (a few bills at the end of the year would be nice for ya). Come on
down to Texas in October, TrickTom is hosting a shootout for N/A, Nitrous, and Blown
class with I think winner take all ($100 pay in). Depends on how many people enter, but it might pay for your trip and a little extra.

Dr.Gary, although it's nice to dream.... there's no way my bike goes 228mph unless a Cat 5 hurricane hits the coast of NC that weekend. lol
We're aiming for the MPS-1350/F record of 218.6mph and APS-1350/G record of 208.9mph on my bike with Sal riding in October, so Texas is kind of an impossibility being that Maxton is on the same weekend.
Best of luck to you and Karl during the Texas Shootout, I'm hoping to hear of another kick ass performance from TFA in Sept. too!
