whats the best speed you guys are seeing
I know the speedo is way off but would like to know what top end its showing ?

On my 00', I saw over 215 mph...new stock size tire and gearing, full pipe and map.
Real Speed?!?......196 mph (GPS and radar verified)
Easy 10% error.

Ironically, even though i have topped out almost every bike i've ridden. I for some reason haven't been past 140 on mine. According to the tac.
I know thats no help at all, i just thought it was comical and thought I'd say it :P

It all depends on what gearing and what tire you're using. The speedo is easily fooled by these things and will throw off the already inaccurate reading.
18/44 gearing + stock tire seems to make the speedo dead accurate up top according to GPS.
I pegged the speedo with stock gearing (RPM still climbing) at 190mph and let off, the GPS read 175mph ACTUAL speed.

I`ve topped my stock 12 out at about 150 or so...But I am geared for 1/4 mile( 17/53), so I got to 150 "quick".....I let off after thinking about a deer or something jumping out from the woods....(yikes)...

Years ago, On the dyno, my stock A1 12 topped out @ 210. Dyno said 194.

Most I did on mine before it was sold 175 speedo (which I know isn't accurate) and on another run later that week 162 on GPS before I ran out of straight road..
