ZX12R WITH DUAL EXHAUST..

Have you ever seen a zx12r with dual exhaust? Its a project I'm working on.. I took the system from a zx14 and I am fabricating it to make it work. I had to modify the left passenger peg bracket to hold the left canister. It was difficult to get the Y pipe around the oil pan, and through the rear suspension, and behind the kickstand. I'm going to utilize a center stand when I'm done. For looks purposes one thing I always thought the 12 was missing was a pipe on the left side. I'm going for that extended swing arm lowered look. Sine I have two 12r's now I can trick out my 02. I'll post pictures when I'm done.

p.s. you have to use the stock 12r head piece to do this job!!!!!

Nox are you sure about that. I have a lot of pictures of the ZX12R PS bike and all I remember is a basically a small diameter pipe running along the side of the bike. No megaphone just a straight pretty much constant diameter tube..

It was not run long, but I saw some photos of it........., maybe while testing or something.......

maybe someone else remembers it? I could be wrong, but I could swear I saw some type of weird dual exhaust on that thing......., it was like a 4-2 system......., with little pipes.....

I do believe they tried a setup like that at one point. It was after I left though, and I don't know the details. I'm thinking it was about getting equal length tubes without going under or crossong over.

someone help. I think I'm running really lean. I have cams, compression, and the RR ecu mod. After the cams I increased the fuel 10% and the mixture is perfect. Akrapovic exhaust. I have since took off the Akrapovic and put it on my other 12r. Now the Akrapovic 12r is running very rich and my twin piped 12r seems to be really dry.. Doug M?
