watchu complainin about swft? havnt u got a fully custom instrument cluster anyhow? lucky bum  i'd like to go that route one day. i'm just not very fond of the analog speedo, and i'd like more room up front so i could fit a rearview camera one day

Man, it shouldn't be too hard to do that. The key is you have to build a adder circuit, then figure out the lcd circuit, like this guy did. What would be really cool is if the lcd panel was actually a lcd screen. It could display the speed, or a rear view, or a rear view with the speed overlaid on it...Say, a picture of a state patrol behind you, lit up with the numbers 190 showing up over it. And maybe a last 5 minute playback, so you can show it to all the bros as you kick it at home with the ankle cuff on.

i tell ya swft, i'm tempted to build what u just described. if i just had the money to go along w all my spare time lately, i'd be all over that! would make for a very trick toy. plus u could take it from bike to bike when u get a new one each time. jsut have to redo the inputs. thing is too that the easiest way to do what u described would be to actually build a whole computer in (nothing powerful, like palm sized thing...ooo, tahts actually not a bad idea!). then u could post to the board while u ride
