Why not a combination.....NOS, Turbo and big bore!!
Turbo for the easy 300 hp, though.
What about the new Muzzy wet system?

Money no object, I would go crazy!!

Turbo makes sense, but might be too twitchy in the corners.
NOS makes sense too, I don't know about Muzzys' wet system vs the dry one though.
Thanks for the thoughts....

personally i'm not a big fan of nos for the simple reason that it's short lived. i kinda like the idea of havin that power available all the time, even tho i'll hardly ever use it. plus who wants to keep refilling the bottle. but for dragging i can sure see it makes perfect sense.

i rather like the turbo route, but turbo + big bore is definitely the ultimate mod!

Well lets see,TURBO=$5400-7500 AND A DRY NOS SYSTEM FOR $about $500.Wow thats a hard choice. The wet muzzy is way over priced in my opinion especially when you can run the same hp with a dry on a fuel inj. bike(up to 80 hp with 2 stage). The only reason why my motor has come apart is because the muzzy air shifter does not shift reliably on my bike and I run a 70 HP dry shot.(spit a shim out from missing shifts on the juice).Just my experiences guys.I know Muzzy does a lot of R&d thats why i spent the big bucks for there shifter.

The 1361 is a lovable monster. Butt loads of power, roll on wheelies when you want it. Otherwise it is a lot like driving around with a 600 cummins. You can ride in a taller gear, cruise town in 5th and 6th gear etc.

The Carillo rods are not easy to put in the 1361. You had better have a real competent and crative mechanic putting the engine together. The rods have clearance issues with the the starter gear, and the case in a couple of spots. It can be done as my engine attests to, but it is a challenge.

Last weekend, my bro w/his 02 XX, says "I bet I can beat you in a straight line run because you can't keep the front wheel on the ground." I answered, "That's what the guy on the Gxr 1K thought last summer, remember?" Even, though I gave the gxr a head start, I blew past him before hitting 4th gear. However, my bro does have a point, I feel like I already have more power than I'll ever fully use. What do you Big Bore guys think?

I have the Falicon rods in my 1340. The bolt clearance issues are the same (because the bolts are the similar). You need to trim the starter gear and the cases.

I've never ridden a turboed bike so I don't know about the power delivery. I think it might be too abrupt for my style of riding though. If money were no object, I'd go really big bore, billet stroker crank, good rods and a little squirt on top of it.

The 1361 doen't need to be ran at 10 grand to get power. Turbo and reliability do not relate of belong in the same sentence. I talked with Mike Velasco about Turbos at length on Wednesday. He pointed out the various turbo bikes he has built. They are wild and fun. But the guys put very few miles on them and they are shipped to mike at least once a year for major work!
