Me too im close to the same area. I have a carpenter ported head i want installed and the motor gone through with alot of nice parts. Atleast a 1270 kit and rods might do a crank 2.But must be a pump gas street bike that makes around 200hp and want melt in traffic.

IMO asking a 1270 to make 200 on pump gas is asking too much.

Of course dynos vary so it could certainly happen.

you oughta hook up with say-what-u-want, load both bikes up and bring em to the same place.

13.1 with carpenter head would get me close right? With muzzy pro pipe and maybe extended ecu.

Been there done that for me to crack the mythical 200 hp i had to up my compression to 14.1 with a ton of other stuff. Your bike will probably make mid 180's to low 190's. Although as entropy said it really depends on the dyno. I also have an extended ecu and carpenter cams degreed way up there and a ton of other odds and ends.

You will be pleased with your 12 after the bigbore. You should beat any zx14 with bolt ons, hayabusas with bolt ons, but be careful of little guys on new gsxr's. It's great shock value when your unsuspecting zx12r whoops all your buddys new stuff.

JC, I was holding back. Did not know if you had the time.........But I would have to say this is the best builder and tuner around. He will listen to what you want. I am sure he would probably be more inclined if the motor were out and all the parts were ready to go.

What ever can be gotten out of what you are willing to put into it can be done by the Cheesman! If anyone other than me was to EVER Touch my engine, he would be the one! Just make sure you tip him because I do not believe that he has ever charged what the work he did was worth!

For a 1270 Kit and base Gasket removed even using STD Dyno Numbers, I would not expect more than 187 to 190! Using SAE Numbers 181 to 185. SOme head work maybe 195 STD and 185 to 190 SAE Add Cams and a Step Hindle Pipe then maybe 200 STD and maybe 190 to 195 SAE HP.Usually only Strokers can get 200 SAE HP and still not easy to do!

DO not get mad at the numbers because this is just the truth!

DM is the Man here and you cannot go wrong on anything he touched! Why buy new and have a compromise when the ZX12R is no compromise (Except to looks) and if that was not important we could buy a Busa or 14!

ACE PERFORMANCE built my 1287cc ZX-12R.

Took it to Maxton this last weekend for the first time...

205.6mph Naturally Aspirated in the Mile with a 175lb rider.

I'm 215-220lb's and I went 199mph banging the rev limiter in 6th gear well BEFORE the finishline. I would of went 200-201mph with a little taller gearing. No tailwind, No nitrous, No special fancy expensive race fuel.

As of right now, it's the FASTEST 1287cc Naturally Aspirated ZX-12R in the Country.

Ace Performance also holds just about all the 1350cc class Maxton records in the MPS/APS Fuel and Gass classes. Most of the 1650/2000/3000 MPS/APS Fuel and Gas records at Maxton. All of the 1000cc MPS/APS Fuel and Gas records at Maxton.

Pound for Pound, I'd put my money on ACE PERFORMANCE against any builder in the country.
