Muzzys 1317 Big Bore

With the 1317 Big Bore, what needs to be done to the top end? Is this kit what's called an offset?

The improved Muzzy billet block allows fitment onto the engine with only a top end change, no machining is required. This fully liquid cooled 87mm block is machined from billet and finished with tough nickel silicon carbide plated bores. Put it on top of a stock crank and you can have a 200+ hp 1317 (see dyno sheet), if you want to get into NHRA Pro Stock territory, open up the cases, add a 60mm stroked crank as used in the Muzzys 1375 kit and you've got a 1427cc monster motor.

Thanks,

Yep it's offset. Might put a little stress on the rods though. 200HP??? Maybe.

Saw one running pretty strong at the Texas Mile with a 120 Shot of Nos!

I,personally, don't think they're worth the money. You sounded like you were quite happy with your 1360.Why more?Spend it on head work and cams.

Don't know how fast, but his runs sure looked good. Should be sometime next year
before the Texas Mile people post up numbers. Karl might know, we were talking to
him in line a bit.

Some people just like the big CC's, and if money is not much of a
concern then don't be shy about spending it. I wish I could afford
one of those billet beauties!

I am happy with my 1361, and thanks for the good advice! My head has been ported, but still running stock cams. From everything I've seen, cams would only add 3-4 hp
