Boost advice needed
Who would you guys suggest to take on a turbo project and which kit?
My motor is a carpenter built bigbore, headwork, cams, falicon knifed edged rods, muzzy clutch basket, heavy duty shift shafts, ceramic tranny bearing, 5th and 6th gear od gears, 13.5 to 1, nos dry kit
I'll need a custom set of low compression pistons 8.0 to 8.5 to 1(where can i find them)
undercut transmission (billy robinson or R+D)
upgrade fuel pump(muzzys)
Heres the kits i found:
1. mrturbo
2. efir
3. superkaos?
4. Does Muzzy's still have a kit?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

You can get some excellent components from Muzzy, if not a whole kit.
This one's all Muzzy....

I do believe Robinson made the 5th and 6th OD gears, he did a nice job on my trans as well. I almost wanted to put it on the mantle instead of in my bike. He also does a nice polish job and has low first gears as well for HeavyHitters!
On another note, I like Bear Racing's Plenum setup for the 12......................and I am sure Muzzy will still sell you a turbo kit for the right price. There are already a couple 12 turbos for sale on this site, psycho, and the Busa.org (motorhead) site as well. It just might be a little cheaper that way.
The Boost and your intended application will determine the compression and fuel needs.
I would assume it is for the street if your going to keep the big bore in it. For the street you may want to keep the compression up so it does not feel like such a turd in the lower RPM range, especially since you will not be putting too much boost on it with those thin cylinder walls. A spacer plate will work so you can save a little money on pistons.
7lbs of boost would sure be nice on a 175HP motor.
Just my two cents from an idiot though.
