Clothes Off

No, nothing like that, just some pics of our Outlaw 12 undressed for interest. Thought you might like to see some of our bits!

We have just fitted the 2lb bottle (were using 2 x 1lb) and a strut. Going testing today.

wolf,
looks like you have modified almost every piece of that bike!

Any reason you haven't gone to aftermarket wheels???

billet oil pan could gain you another inch in ground clearance.

DAMN! I wanna do that to my bike so bad! Wolf, any pointers on where you drilled (frame/subframe)....any tips?

Wolf, gotta get the lightweight wheels....I have em and LOVE em...but for drag, rear wheel would be preferable as the front is so light now!

Thanks for the interest.

Entropy, We are at our Outlaw legal level for clearence, 2", so a pan isn't needed for that. But, we are running low 1.4 in the sixty so for wash we will need one soon. As for the wheels, it's just a money thing and we haven't seen the need?? Bike is 440lbs at present so not so bad. that's fueled and ready to rumble.

capt10ed and shiphteey, Yes, there's a few bucks there but alot of our own stuff too. for the sub frame, there is some method to the madness. Keep the holes more than 1" apart and don't line any up verticly. That will keep enough strength in it.

We ran a few test runs last night with the strut. 8.4s at 170. wheel spin was plenty as the track was not prepared. We are pretty happy with that and will now make a few adjustments to have a crack at a seven.

cheers,

Wolf

All up the bike weighs 440lbs ready to rumble.

There's not a lot in the sub frame. A couple of lbs only. But it all adds up.

Weight transfer, and traction.........

If struts were better on a street tire, dont you think we all would be running them?

ZXLNT - It's a support for the puller rod. When we were using a two step, we could measure the free play and set the TS switch with a dial guage.

It's what we maxde before Muzzys had the internal puller rod support avaialable.

nox - we're just hard to tell!

wow! you put a LOT of work into that beast!
slicks are good with a strut because they have a lot more give to them than a street tire. the sidewalls wrinkle and squat down way more so a shock isnt needed with the slick.
