oil pan?
anyone have a good fix on dripping oil plug? oil pan got stripped from overtightening.

take the pan off and put in a heli coil

I believe there was someone on the site,maybe MadMike, who relocated the plug to the backside of the pan.Just something to think about.

well it ended up being the pan walls, so i took all the fairings off, radiator and headers and dropped the oil pan. got a 1/2 inch drill bit went to work tapped the hole with a 1/2 tap and installed a 1/2 single oversized bolt, problem solved. now it looks like the valve cover gasket is leaking. anyone ever changed this with the motor installed?

changing the valve cover gasket with the motor installed is no big deal, pretty easy to do once the plastic, throttle cables, overflow bottle, and various wires are outa the way.
