Muzzy EMS

Pics of the harness and EMS install:

(Note: These are my personal labels on the harness. They are real big, to clearly label each wire and make it easy to get clear photos. I would imagine that the production harness will have smaller labels on the wiring.

Harness routing:

Water temp sensor:

The EMS uses the stock Atmos press sensor:

Stock wiring to EMS wiring. I can't stress this enough: You must have the Factory Service Manual wiring diagrams in front of you. Muzzy supplies wiring diagrams for their harness to the EMS, but you must match that to the corresponding wiring on the stock harness and sensors.

Ground wire to battery:

The EMS uses the stock crankshaft trigger:

Hey SWFT! Do you have any maps for this bad boy (is that a stupid question)? I'd like to get one, but I have no way to "map" it on my bike .

The only map for it is supplied by Muzzys. The EMS has a serial port, and Muzzys supplies the comm cable with the unit. Hope that answers your question!

Thanks for the offer! I'm working with Muzzys on a daily basis, and trying to document the process as thoroughly as possible. One thing for sure, you gotta have the factory manual!

Still waiting on plug wires, but at least I've got a good candidate for the boot. Has to be very long to take the place of the stick coil. Got that worked out, will prolly have results tomorrow!

Gotta give a big vote of thanks to Rob Muzzy and Doug Meyer, for their help in setting up the EMS on my 12. Rob spent quite a bit of time taking me through the different settings, and helping me diagnose a problem I was having. I'll have to pick it back up after Laguna, but I hope to hear it run then!

It's alive! Got back from Laguna, and first chance I had, I made it over to the shop and put the battery in the bike. Fired it right up, let it idle enough to get the fan spinning. Idled smooth as butter down at 1k rpm, pulled up cleanly from there when I blipped the throttle. Dyno runs maybe later this week, and of course, more tuning.
