Might get an 02 ZX12, can you guys gimmie a little help?
Seriously considering going to the green side.........well, black (metalic blue) and gold actually
But I'm not one to sit on my hands and NOT mod a bike.
What I wanna know is:
The exhaust......I know it had a C.C. on it for KLEEN reasons...but would you recommend just a slip-on...or will I be wasting my money with anything less than a full system?
Rear Fender......Kinda big, but I might can live with it...anyone recommend a good solution? Right now My TLR is total custom and I'm kinda use to NO plastic

Gearing.....I've NEVER had a bike I didn't regear. The Tiller has already enough power to pull stumps, but to use 6th you had to do 80 or it was useless...plus bumping out back 2 teeth made 2nd gear throttle wheelies a breeze
2-up comfort.... I'm GETTING another bike cause the wife wants to ride again......this after I spend good money on a carbon solo race tail for the TLR Will the 12 be semi comfy for her? are there aftermarket solutions to make her MORE comfy?

Caster Troy from SBN? I picked up an 02 zx12R this spring, I have a moto graphics undertail installed and am very happy with it. I will try to post a couple photos of it for you. Or you can get me your email address and I will send a couple.
Seems everyone goes with a full exaust because a 20 HP gain with a PC3 is pretty common. Hard to argue that. Look at the drag racing threads here and on www.labusas.org for info on gearing. I am still running stock gears and exaust but am planning on replacing both in the near future.
Also look at Debotech for carbon fiber goodies for the 02 ZX12. I just ordered up a hugger w\chainguard and crap flap, ram air covers and a new ash tray.
I have the looks all in order so next up is full Akropovic, PCIIIr, K&N filters and some tuning time on the Dyno.
I just replaced my Dunlops with BT010's but I stuck with 200's. I understand the 190's are quite popular and do improve flickability and handling.
The rear of a ZX12 is big and roomie, there are some after market hard grab rails and someone has even made a flip up seat back that looks pretty nice. Check recent threads for "grab rail" here and at labusas
