Helmet Shield Sun Strips

For under $5, Troy Lee Designs makes a Helmet Shield Sun Strip....what the heck are these? Do these really work? Anyone used one?

Here is a link where I saw them...you gotta scroll down the page halfway or so:

sun strip

I always wish I could have another inch of visor when I get tucked down in. I dont know that I would want to lose another inch of visibility from the top like that. I just swap out visors, clear for night and tinted for day.

For racing, I have found taping a piece of dense foam an inch to an inch and half thick on my tank for a chin pad. It works awesome. You place the pad approx. 4" X 4" where your chin touches the tank. In your tuck you press the chin of your helmet on the pad and your helmet rotates up to give better vision. It works!

beansbaxter, this sun strip is simply a piece of tape that you install at the top of your visor. It can be useful when the sun is going down and you are riding face to it. If you want to know how useful it is, just use a piece of black electrical tape (~1") and stick it to the top of your visor. This Troy Lee piece is just cosmetically different but not more useful than black tape.
