That's an '02 Raptor. I've got an '01 with all the Yam extras, like skidplates, etc...

..

the dealer took it in trade for one of those z400's. The guy bought this and added a ton of parts and then decided it was too fast. It has every part you could think of. all factory yamaha parts. I thought it was an 01 and found out after I bought it that it was an 02.

I was quoted 7kotd from yamaha for a stock one.I couldnt be happier.

My only experience with ATV's has been an old 250R and a newer 400EX, both Hondas.

How is the new Raptor compared to these Honda models?

I just made them an offer.they said yes. I dont think they realized how many parts it had. I have bought a couple bikes from them

I also had atc's and this is a whole nuther world. 250r's are cool though. I havent had a chance to get it out yet but Im going this weekend. I have ridden it around my yard.

Raptors and Grizzly's

I also have a bike with the same motor. I have a '02 660 Grizzly. I lloked at the Raptors and all but I do alot more playing at the creek than flying around. My buddy has a raptor and they are fast as all get out but are limited on the trail. They definatly have their place! Believe it or not he can not walk away form the heavier Grizzly. Pretty damn suprisisng.

I really liked the grizzly too, but decided on a sport model. there is a company that will lift th grizzly and put huge tires on it. there is a thread on labusas that shows pics of them. very nice!! I ould definitely do this if I owned one.
