off-topic Q for Australian folk????
We have anyone in this forum from SE Australia??
Maybe someone familiar with Macquarie University???
I just put my daughter on a plane yesterday, headed for 6 mo at McQuarie.
Good place??? Kinda late to be asking this question, but curious what yr take on the place is???

They Advertise in Science Magazine! I will look them up to see what they are into! (As far as different Colleges ect

Macquarie is one of the best Universities in Australia - they have one of the leading Business, Science and Technology campuses, not just in Australia, but SE Asia.
Top students from China, India and Singapore all compete to study there too.
If your daughter is enrolled at the North Ryde campus in Sydney, she is very fortunate!
It is located in one of the most beautiful parts of Sydney - adjacent to a major National Park that extends from the Blue Mountains in the West to the Northern Beaches in the East.
Get ready though - she will fall in love with Australia and want to stay longer!!!

thanks for the info!
She is at the Sydney campus; just got a call that she arrived safe n' sound, if a bit jet-lagged.
The mizzus & I are gonna pay her a visit in April, see what she got herself into, but from what you say it sounds great. 
Yes indeed, i fear that she'll fall in love with Australia and not come back...
