A lot of serious threadjackers over here in ZX12.com huh.
Again, note the topic of the thread...its not another silly ZX12 vs. ZX14 debate

Seem's like a pretty dumb thread. I don't think VH is really out to get the ZX-14 guys. Someone has been watching "Conspiracy Theory" too much...

what's interesting is what i've read vince say has not been that the 14 is a turd that won't flush, but that for all that it *could* have been it was a disappointment because it was fairly short on the real innovations....
I doubt there is any animosity, just a "Why couldn't they make the 14 stock outperform a mildly massaged 12 right out of the box? Why the need to put $$$$ into a 14 to make it perform better than a decently massaged 12?"
But i also think he has some fun with you zx14 worshipers

Well i lightly modded my zx14 and run 8s in the 1/4 mile ...So i'm happy .. I like the zx12 and almost didn't wait for the zx14 and came close to a buying zx12.....So i'm not picking on the zx12 ...I'm only picking on MR Hill ......He takes a good zx12 and makes it run like a 250cc bike and then he has the balls to say Kawi missed the mark on the zx14 .. ..... Looks to me he has missed the mark by a mile ...A Maxton mile ...lol..

tenure being defined as "the term during which a position is held", I'm curious which position you're reffering to? Thanks

No worries.
While we all may not see things the same way, I believe "tenure" equates to earning the respect of people that have been around here a long time. Alot of knowledge shared over time and has been gained from him.
I believe that is why you don't see alot of people jumping on the "pick on Mr Hill" bandwagon.

Don't let this give you the idea that going 200 mph is as simple as showing up and twisting the grip--for proof of just how important the meticulous preparations and hard-won wisdom of experienced land-speed racers like Guthrie and Pollack are to this endeavor, consider the outcome of my Ninja-mounted nemesis, Vincent Hill. Hill and I were side by side for the entire afternoon, right up until that last run. While I was fortunate enough to just (barely) break the 200 mark, Hill was sent packing with a this-close best of 199.5 mph.

I set 3 records in the same day with the last one at 199.353 on a my 12 in October 2003 at 260 Pounds totally Stock engine and a 50 SHot of Nos and a broken NOS Button.
I am no longer interested in "JUST" going over 200 but in going over 220 on my 12 Smoking 14.
Again for those that need this, I do not hate the 14 !! I really do not hate "ANY" Motorcycle. I would ride a 14 before any other Brand of Motorcycle except Ducati 1098, Aprilia the Top SPec Sport bike, Bomota or Moto Guzzi Sport twin . I would never ride a Harley even if Given to me and I still do not hate them. I do not even like the later ZX12R's as much as the 2000 and 2001.
The 14 is just too refinned for my Taste and Mechanically Different from what "I" WOuld like to work on. Also I fail to see how a Problem with a 14 at a Suzuki Dealer and what I thought was good information to "Be aware of the Possibility" have anything to do with my personal taste. If I had heard the exact same thing about a 12 I would have posted the same thing at the same time and looked at my bike to see if I was having any problem. As soon as I could I got as much information as I could and posted that it was a Suzuki Bird.
Last, It is not my intention to upset the 14 owners but if they get in my face, I will tell them exactly what I think about them and their Bike. Being Diplomatic has NEVER Been one of my long Suits. The Guys on this board have been around me long enough to know one important thing. I will do everything I possible to help anyone at any time I possibly can to help with any problem. Even if it was you Stevewfl broke down on the side of the road and I knew it was you at Daytona, I would pull over and do everything I could to put you back on the road even if I had to put your bike in my van and take it miles away so you could ride. That is the reason they say I have Tenure here because they and I have all paid our dues (And they were not Cheap either )

Steve,
fuk the apologies, keep stiring the pot!
You aren't being abusive or attacking anyone personally, you are just being opinionated just like the rest of us.
Keep poking pins into all that thick hide we have around here.
Just because i don't agree with all that you say doesn't mean i wanna see you stopping it .
Vincent is a great individual, a bunch of "tenure" he has earned.
I love that quirky ole bastid dearly(in an internet kind of way) but I don't always agree with him. He is a true enthusiast; always passionate!
Hey Vincent tell us again about yr bike making 185hp on stock motor. Please PawPaw, tell us

Just to make sure people know that I have gone right at 200 and that is not what I am trying to do! Without the NOS Button I had to wire the NOS System to the 100% switch and you cannot imagine how hard it is to use 99% throttle through the first 3 gears not "NOT" Hit into the NOS!! Each RUN I would bump the NOS in each of the First 3 gears and had to back off a little so I could have some NOS Pressure for the top 3 gears. Of Course every time I backed off the throttle I lost a little SPeed..
Now I have the Largest Strongest Button Made and carry 2 of them as Spares
