Bike Cutting Off..Help Needed

I have a 2002 Kawasaki ZX-12R with 6000 miles on it. I bought it used, with 3000 miles on it. Shortly after, I installed a full titanium TiForce exhaust and Power Commander USB, and a map that I downloaded from the web.

Recently, the bike has started cutting off while I'm riding down the freeway. This happens randomly, and if I pull in the clutch, then turn the ignition off and back on again, the release the clutch the bike starts up again.

This past weekend as I tried to ride up a pretty steep incline, the thing cut off several times before I reached the top. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the angle, but it's really starting to concern me now.

Anyone ever dealt with a similar problem, or have any ideas?

I've heard of some Kawasaki race bikes failing to refire after a tip-over. Apparently, the tip-over safety switch needs to have the ignition power cycled before the ECU will allow the bike to start.

You might try to clean all the terminals on the plugs for the pc with an alcohl soaked cotton
swab.....and im sure you know if you unplug the pc and plug the factory back like it was
it will tell you if the problem is pc related

A friends 12 had a flaky kick stand switch, and his bike kept cutting out. We by passed the switch and life was good.

Thats a good place to start, pin fit could be the concern, but also if the bike cuts off instantly the it would be an electrical problem, but if it starts to act as if it was running out of fuel and acting sluggish then I would say that it would have to be a fuel concern.

You did not say where you live? The West Coast people have other issues with the Charcoal Cannister also. Spray a lot of Brake Cleaner over the Side stand and switch to get them real clean. If it does not stop then as they said try to bypass it. The Power Commanders were known for this but not the USB
