We've reached the end of summer here, so I'm not going to sweat it. either. Maybe I'll get those lighter wheels I've been dreamin about

quote:
Well MB, seems there was some miscommunication between ABM and Kneedraggers.

When I ordered them and got the back order email, I specifically replied that 3 weeks was fine, 6 weeks was not.

On the 11th, I emailed back the tech I ordered them from and said "Hey dude, where are my rotors?".

Of course at this point winter is here in Denver and my goal of having the bike back together before the snow flies is shot to shit.

He was very open and honest with me and basically said the supplier told them 3 weeks but upon his requery they said "No, we said X weeks". X being a number >=6.

He said regardless they (Kneedraggers) are going to take responsibility.

I told him if they discount my order and pay for shipping it would set things right.

I'm not overly upset about it because they have been honest and willing to discount the order and I won't be doing much riding until next spring anyhow at this point.

I would expect you are are going to encounter a similar delay. Ken in customer support told me we were looking at about 3 weeks from the 11th so am expecting them around the first week of November. All done and said if I get them at that date it will have been 2 months.

In general I have been very happy with them so I won't make a major shitstorm about it.

Sometimes these things happen.

Nice bro.

Replace the lines next. It makes a tremendous difference in brake feel. Arguably more than the rotors.

Those tires didn't even have 20 miles on them. Look at the front rotors...the pads aren't even bedded in yet!

Shane, where'd you get them and did they have them to you within a reasonable amount of time?

I've been waiting for 2 months for the ABM's from Kneedraggers and I'm done screwing around. I sent them an email today that if they don't have them in their hands Monday to cancel the order and refund my credit card.

Two months is ridiculous and I'm actually sort of pissed right now....

So, gonna start looking for another vendor.

No Trash talking about Shane's Tires! He had to buy a new front to match my Almost new Rear I sold at Bargain Basement prices.

I also think that Jeff Gheres at Ferodo Brake Tech is a good person to deal with and the Cast Iron they use is very high quality. Plus the fact that they do not stress the Buttons is a PLUS> If I ever get new brakes, that is what I will use! I already use the Float rear Brake

My full set (2 front, 1 rear) got here Monday. LOL

What are the odds we BOTH got lost in the "shuffle".

I'm not going to bitch at this point, Kneedraggers made it very right in the end.

You guys don't happen to have an accurate scale to weigh them, do you? I'd like to compare them to the Braking's I have....

I'll see what I can dig up Shane. I know I saw the metric weight somewhere but I'll need to round it up.

I could probably round up a +/- 5 gram accuracy scale if I put out some feelers. Let me see what I can dig up...
