2000 12r motor needing crank work
hello, what do you guys think a 2000 12r motor is worth that the number 3 rod bolt backed out on and caused a barring falure, also crank will need work because of it. no clutch basket in the motor, this deal will be sight unseen, Im thinking of a trade for it just wanting to know what you guys think its worth cash wise. thanks!

worth depends on if the cases are injured (likely), and whether the head/valves got touched. How many miles, what kind of use? Does the ECU & wiring harness come with it? Stock pistons, cams & head?? Main bearings OK??
fixing one rod bearing is one thing; replacing the cases and repairing the head a whole other story.
need more info.

Rod "bolt" Backed Out?!?!
How were you able to determine if that was the case?
We have seen these claims here before and turned out not to be the case.

Is it usually the thrust bearing surface that goes bad on cases?
