zx12r dynojet power commander pc3r 2000-2001
Can anybody tell me if the PC3R for a 2001-2002 also work on a 2003 model?
I am desperate to get one used if possible as I am installing my acrapovic system this weekend and I am sure I am going to need one...any advice would be a big help.
Thanks

It is safe to run a akrapovic without a PC3. It's a very good pipe and will benifit from maping
but i would not rush a purchase because of that pipe install.
Dynojet initially said they were the same but the maps were different.
Before the official release of the zx14 PC's some people were using
the zx10 commanders.

That is good to know since I have spent a good bit already, I have no idea what it will sound like, it is a full system and not a "bolt on" so I am curious, my buddy says it will sound pretty bad with it on

I ran that pipe on my bike for a good while with no problems. The only reason I added a PC3R is to remove timeing and add gas when running nitrous.
If your buddy means bad like real good, he's right.

Main reason I bought my akro was because everyone was saying you didn't need a Pwr comander. I ran mine for months w/o one and w/o any problems The Pciiir smoothed things out a bit, and I did pick up a couple of HP.
