My weekend at Houston Raceway Park.
This was the second of the 6 for the Texas Shootout raceday and all the bikes where there. It was definalty 12/Busa day! Of the 60 bikes I would bet 45 of them where either 12's or Busa's. I made it down to 11 bikes. I had been running very consistantly all day and stayed around 10.66 on a 10.55 dial time. I didnt feel as if I was launching well though. Live and learn. The last round I was thinking that I needed to tighten the ET so I changed my dial from a 10.55 to a 10.60. Lined up against one of the Highlands Kawasaki boys and his 9 sec flat bike. Had a decent launch with a .568 R/T and guess what I ran? SHIT 10.55! Geez. Be both broke out but I broke out just more than he did! Oh well maybe next time. But I lost to a 12 not anything else.

I just looked at the website and seems Mr. Lemos (guy I lost to) won the event. I know hind sight is 20/20 but man he is lucky I had chalk in my pocket. Never to happen again!

djones,
who are you man? what does yr bike look like? I was in the lanes along with you but luckily I never drew Johnny (Lemos) or I sure as shit wouldn't have made it to the semis!
Next time come and share the shade of Team Fat Ass (as long as you don't care who you are seen with cause TFA also accepts Busas )
BTW you are right about a Kwak nite, all 4 in the semis were Kwaks!

I am "the big guy" as put by my partners who I run with. I work out ALOT and it shows. I was wearing a House of Pain muscle shirt all day and Joe Rocket Racing gear when I raced. You can see my bike at http://www.texas-offroad.com and I would love to come hang out and BS in June. BTW...I was there with my neighbot Laura Mullins. She was the one on the flamed Harly.
