Hmmm,

Only been on the board a few months, but now the zzr-1400 is here seems like this part of the forum has been vacated!

Not only that they are trying to bleed posts in as well

Come on lads/lasses don't let the post whores on zx14.com catch up

Don't worry Droid.. I have YET to see a posting where a ZX14 walked away from a 12r.. Most of us on this board have modded out 12's so we need not be afraid of your new brother..

I'd also tell you not to worry. I know it's going to be awhile till a 14 pulls my 1361. And besides, the 12 is so much better looking that I wouldn't want a 14, even if it was faster....

Hey man - there is a LOT of activity lately on the board... Ridge is even hacking up an ECU . Good stuff is still afoot for the '12 riders!

I can categorically state now with 1000 miles under my belt on my 2001 12r that this is the finest mcycle I have ever ridden it fits me like a glove , handles , exudes beauty and functionality if i never ride another bike i'll have no regrets.

I don't want to slag the zx14 as in time it will probably grow on me but i owned a zx11 c1 model 1991 vintage and prefered that over the later zx11's, the 14 looks so gsx750f to me with the wrap around bodywork. I love kwakkers and always will but they should keep the 12r going so that I can buy a new one to keep for ever!!!

It is still an 05 with an 06 plate!

New colour schemes required, why did they never have some of the outlandish schemes of some of the smaller race reps!! The flagship models have always been a little tame.

I had a ZX-11 abd brought an 05 last year. What makes the ZX-12R so great is some much people want status in there bikes. Th newest and fastest. When you pull up on a twelve it still get's that look of attention. The ZX12-R looks fast just parked. I have a feeling that kawi we come back with the 12 someday to replace the 10R. Ride the 12 with pride and let everybody know that your 12 still demands respect.

Would be registered as an 06 model though right?

Yes but u cant dress it up as anything else its the same as last year.

But then i have noticed a lot of A2 models being registered on 04 plates ,few gone through ebay,

so in 2007/08 maybe pick up an unreggied 05/06 and keep it in the crate!!

Put new oils in and try to keep it in dry place. It would also be good if You could lift the tires of the ground and lower the pressure in them and also in the suspension(but write the settings down ). And if a while gets to be a longer while You should really ride id sometimes because old fuel does a lot of bad things if a while gets a long while... Also covering it with something that lets moisture out would be good and lubricating everything that moves keeps them moving after the "while" has gone.
