Clutch compatibility

I need to upgrade my clutch on my zx12-powered sandrail. What I need to know is will the Muzzy clutch kit, a MTC two stage lockup clutch and a Falicon billet basket work together? Right now I just have nitrous on it and the clutch is slipping. Later this summer it will have nitrous and a turbo.

Thanks
Jason

you would want a lock-up clutch on a sandrail?

Sure if its the only way to keep the clutch from slipping. What other choice is there????

why would you need the stiffer springs in the Muzzy kit if you are getting a lockup? Or, do you already have the kit in the bike?

I will post a few pics later don't have time right now. As of right now it has the stock clutch in it. I wanted to get the muzzy kit to cure the dry clutch problem and I'm going to need new clutch anyways. When it put the lockup in it I will run the stock springs. So has anyone run this combo, I don't want to spend over $1000 and the parts not work together.

I don't know. If I were you, I would do one thing at a time. Start with much stiffer springs then go to the lockup if that still doesn't work. I'm assuming that since it's in a sand rail, you have it set up so that your left leg actuates the clutch, right? So, you don't have to worry about your hand not being strong enough to pull in the clutch lever with stiffer springs.

Even with the MTC lockup, I'd still be kinda sketched out about having to pull the clutch in at higher RPM's. And, since you're not just dragracing, needing to pull in the clutch at high RPM's is a definite possibility, right?

This car weighs 920 lbs and has two 26 inch tall 10 inch wide paddles pushing it around. The only time I use the clutch while driving is to take off and to stop. My plan is to get the muzzy kit and the billet basket right now and run six of the muzzy springs. That should hold the 40 shot of nitrous. When I add the turbo later I will need the lockup.

I got the last part to my clutch today. I went ahead and got a muzzy clutch kit, a mtc two stage lock-up and a falicon basket.

I got it all put together and am going to test it tomorrow.
