fork seals
Who has replaced there fork seals? Did you have any problems? Tell me what you see when you remove the seal and washer. Is there anything such as a bushing on the inside that is not replacable, maybe pressed fitted in the area where the seal is placed. I am haveing problems with mine. They are not sealing at all. Which way does the seal go into the fork, maybe I have it backwards. I didn't remove the parts so I'm not sure exactly how it goes back together. I noticed that the washer has a flat side and more rounded smooth side. Which side goes in first? Can someone help me or point in the direction of someone to contact that has done this before?

Look for the service manual. There are onlin version somewhere. From there You can check how all the parts go in. Or maybe even the parts manual is adequate.

The shop manual does not show which direction the seals go in nor do they show a bushing. However Race Tech tells me that there database list two bushing but they could not tell me where they went.

If I don't remember wrong the seals go in the right way up. So when they are at the bike the lip is down (because of the upsidedown forks). And about the bushings I don't remember they have any specific directions they are straight. It's a while I've done the forks but that is how I remember it. And I don't see how the forks could leak if the seals look OK and are in the place. Can You take pictures?

So are you saying that there is a bushing inside. If so that is the problem. I don't have any.
