Suggestions for replacement tire
Alo ALo ALo this is probebly a real dead horse of a topic but id like to ask for information on what would be the best tire's to use for replacement for my 12r something with adequate grip and longevitiy ?
My stock dunlop rear lasted 4000kms and the front cupped on me now so i am pissed bout that but hey its a oppourtunity to get better tires and handling on my devilbike .
thank you for the info again .

As for the cupping my impression is that the biggest contributor to that is under inflation.

I've been using the Metzler sportec m1 for years with good results.Last season I tried a set of Mich. pilot powers and found them to be a much better tire-excellant cold adhesion, milage & cornering speeds/lean angle increased.I usually go thru 2-3 sets of tire each season .

Metzler roadtec or the sport tec is the way to go, the dunlop 208's just dont last, they perform well, but cant go the distance. the road tec and the sport tec are sport touring tires, good handling and grip, while getting the distance on them.

I had BT014's on mine. 190 rear. The things stuck like glue and seemed to be wearing well. Can't tell you how long they'll wear cause I killed the bike before the tires were worn out. Hit a dog at about 80. Next bike will have same tires.
I think the 14 has a newer version of the same tire.

Pilot Power gives good wet weather handling.....first time on nashville Speedway for a trackday it was raining had the Michelin guy spoon on a set and went out on the track....took it easy the first session to break the tires in....2nd session was draggin a knee in the rain on them.....best tire on the market for the street...IMO.....
