thin head gasket
I called cometic gaskets and they have a thin head gasket for a zx12r. He quoted it at .018 of an inch. He said the stock head gasket was .030. I remember y2k saying it was .023 stock. Anyways can anybody tell me how much compression increase I can get? Also how much RWHP can I get from this? Maybe 4?
Thanks,
supra

If i remember correctly removing the base gasket from under the block on the 12r bumped the compression from 12.2 to 12.7, a half a point. Maybe worth 2-3 hp depending on cam timing. less hp if the intake cam is advanced and more if its retarded....
Man this spanish keyboard is hard to find the right keys....

just buy a stock one and take the center layer out, and you are 0.18mm less.
Advice, dont do this trick with yamahas and suzukis.
