It has been reported that 300 is a safe number, BUT a set of rods is cheap compared to a set of cases and a cylinder etc.

doug has mentioned repeatedly that muzzy used the stock rods in the sbs bike....and that made a helluva lot more than 300rw.

I always loved the way Terry Kizer said that the ZX11 didn't need any rods YET! he always had them in his own personal bike, and never hid that fact either. Hmmmmm?
