Perfectly OK if everybody disagrees or says I have ridiculously bad eyesight or something -- but in every single one of these real photos, as opposed to quite staged photos and possibly retouched for "better" display of color, contour, etc, the 2006 is looking good to me.
Even features I hated in the studio photos. Even the undertail exhaust and the outer shields. (not that I wouldn't still almost certainly prefer aftermarket.)
Excellent sets of pics, wouldn't have known that more pics would be informative at this stage after all the ones Kawasaki released, but they sure have been to me. Thanks.

Well we should get some good feed back from Fish since he owns and rides an 04 ZX10. The comparison should be close to real world. I wonder if they had some 05s there to compare between? If they didn't they should have.

Gimme a call when the RR comes out in '07/'08. Already placed my order.

Well.... they say there ain't gonna be an RR.... but there is full race support including factory parts for this bike.

I have to agree. Either color match the paint or black. The magnesium color looks bad.

"Full race support" is a joke among club level road racers on somewhat of a budget. Everything from the "analog" tach to the Race ECU is priced so far out of reach for the average racer, it ridiculous. I won't even get into costs of the "accessories" for the ECU. Most guys (and gals) that road race 636/6RRs or even 10Rs just throw on race plastic, exhaust and a PCIII then call it a day.
I will admit they offer pretty good contingency, but ya gotta win. Riders like Ty Howard will be racking up on that, but for us mere mortals, it ain't happening.

I wonder how much of the weight issue has been hidden/redistributedresolved by reducing the rotating mass on those pinner fdisc brake carriers?
What I mean is that when I did the Brembo conversion on the 12, the biggest difference was the side to side transition flickability and not so much the stopping power.
