What kind of HP are the big 12's putting out?

Just curious if anybody had a bored and/or stroked ZX12?
What kind of numbers are you all putting out? Also any
particular mods that help the most.
1270?
1290?
1375?
other?

Trying to decide what will be worth the money before I
bust my nut.

I did 196 RWHP... down in texas at JC's.... that was with the 1361, and Osti33 with his 1375 did 195?? I believe....
there is more in them for sure, but I have not had the oppertunity to really tune mine very well... it is consistant, but I think I can get more out of it....

Cool, what did your bike look like? I hung around
the shop a little bit, mainly weekends. JC has the
bike over at his house.

Anybody reaching those claimed muzzy numbers of 200HP (1270)
and 210HP (1375).

I don't think 210 is out of line for a 1375.

I think mine is probably close to 210 now. When we had them dynoed I was running a stock head and cams. Also I was running about 12.8:1 compression. We both also had shootout tires on the bikes. John says that they will cost you a couple of HP on the dyno. Not to mention it was about a million degrees in there. lol...

My bike now is about 13.5:1 now. I have a Carpenter head too. I would like to dyno it again and find out what the HP is...

I think it will live if it is built right. It's 5% parts and 95% builder.

Rog had his dyno'd and tuned at Chris's in Knoxville at low 190's. I think 192, 1270 ,headwork, no cams and he built it. Anyone who knows him knows the work he does. I cant wait to see what the stroker he is building for a local will do. Wish I had the money to do mine. Then again why tear into something that runs so good........dont answer that!

My Lee's 1290 makes 200rwhp on pump gas, 194 on C16, and 290rwhp on a dry kit. That's 1290, Lee's head and stock cams.

Dont Be Scared.

My other bike with stroker crank and Lees headwork with two intake cams made anywhere from 195 to 210rwhp N/A depending the day and the dyno.

My Velasco built 1361 made 212 rwhp. Over the years, it's dynoed from 209 to 212. The lowest was 202 @ Lynnwood Cyclebarn's Dyno Shootout.. That was w/o ram air on a humid day.
Velasco also did the head work
crank case vent mod
BMC race filters
full akro
pciiir
all parts were balanced and superteked
Been happy with it so far...

Shit, imagine 200+ mph on that zrex with the wind just itching to rip you right the fuck off.
I wonder how dirty the air around that bike really is with a rider tucked in...?

Probably wouldn't feel much if you stay stuck down tight. I've run the ZX-11 over 190 without bodywork. If you don't let the air get under your chest you're ok.
Vance Breese claimed "on tape" that one time on his A/Fuel naked 200mph Harley that he got bounced off the seat and had his legs flapping like a flag behind him before he got it gathered up. I'm not sure I believe that, but Vance is usually the master of understatement.
