rod bolts
Broke a rod bolt and wiped the motor. Any ideas on improving the stock rod bolts. Muzzy 1270, 200 rwhp on 98 octane unleaded. Keith

How do you break a rod bolt? Was it torqued properly?

Good Question Mike. "200" HP in a 1270? Must be Not corrected or Standard.

My 1270 made 202 h.p.! Correction factor was 1.10 due to the 110+ heat and very low Barometer (29.70).
Now with less valve overlap, hp is down 10, however Torque is up 10 through the middle!
How about that all important additional info keith??
