Help! I give up! Trailer wiring question!

Fuck! How annoying... I backed my little trailer into some rocks and smashed out the taillights... I went down and bought some replacement lights as the old ones were just universal ones... installed the new ones and replaced the connector as well as it was old and manky...

oky.. so.. now.. when the lights are on.. no problem... running lights okay...

when I signal left or right ALL the lights blink like a xmas tree.. . I've checked and triple checked the wiring and it is correct, and the same as it was before...

only thing I can think of is the relay? but I even tried switching to the old bulbs and still no difference..

help!

Sounds like an issue with the ground.

I was thinking that that's the only other possibility... strange.. not much to the wiring... ground is pretty basic/obvious... but I'll check it fer the 4th time!

It seems like 90% of trailer wiring issues end up being bad grounds...

Keep in mind that often the black wire is NOT the ground wire in trailer applications.......

drive it around the block and then check it again! I had something weird happen like that and it was just the ground between the hitch and trailer.
