Jon,

I'm in Phoenix. Western Texas/Oklahoma is do-able for me in a weekend, but Louisiana is probably not, unless I fly.

I'll be going to Barber with a few racers from my area in August for the CCS races, but the truck and trailer aren't mine, and we're budgeting 4 workdays off (from Thursday to Tuesday) to do it.

Michelins aren't so bad. You might like their DOTs this year, the rear grips better than the slick rear does, I'm told (I run DOTs to be Supersport legal), but the slick lasts longer.

Can't help you with that Honda problem. FWIW, I'm about 95% made up my mind on an '05 ZX-6R, but the '04/05 GSX-R750 is still a possibility.

"Fully Prepped" is kind of an open ended statement. Sure, the bikes we run would never see the street again, but for the most part, they still meet Superstock standards... for the most part. After taking your 636 and 10R onto the track, I'm thinking you'd be greatly disappointed when riding our endurance bike and maybe even Jonathan's bike.

About the only thing that might even slightly impress you is the brakes and the suspension. The team spends more money on the supension in one season than most folks spend on their street bike for the duration of ownership. That's not counting the actual purchase price of the Penske or Fork internals. That's just the cost of the tweaking.

Thats what I am talking about Sherm. I have never lapped a bike with an aftermarke suspension, and would love to see hwo they handle. As far as barkes go I have only ever done the basics, changing pads and lines and fluid. I never ridden a bike with aftermarket rotors or and aftermarket MC. I just want to see what good brakes are really suppose to feel like.

As far as HP, hell most anything will make time around a track, if you keep the RPM's high enough......lol. But you are right, after having the power of the 10 on the race track, espicially a fast track, it kinda spoils you for anything else.....lol
