Traitor or not I like this Forum over anyother
I just wanted to post a pic of my new ride. After shopping around and waiting for the long anticipated revamped ZX12 I just couldnt wait anymore without a ride. I went out and shopped for the hottest bike in 05 and came home with a black and grey GSXR1000. I got to put 45 miles on it and i have to say that after riding the ZX10R the throttle on the GiXXer is much responsive, the seating position is much nicer on the Gixxer and the way it sounds its weird. At low rpms the exhaust valve sounds weird but once it starts revving up it sounds awesome. The ZX10 had a lil sluggish start on the revs i dont know why . The only complaint i have so far on the Gixxer is the price, nobody in Houston wanted to negotiate on the Gixxer and I wound up paying a lil more if i had bought the 10.
Im still posting here cause i dont like the suzuki forums , they attack each other for almost any reason where as in this forum most of the people are polite and just care about making friends.
Maybe if the ZX12 comes out as awesome as I expect ill get rid of the Gixxer and move back to kawi, I know ill get a deal even if its a brand new redesigned model.. Way to go Kawi on prices... Here's my ride [jpg]http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid165/peb96b20f2449c5fe38eb2dbd8f02d9e3/f46909d6.jpg[/jpg]

You know , i dont know how people are going to race those things in stock form. I was kind of playing with the throttle on the way home, and maaan, this thing wants to come up for no reason at all in first gear even at around 3 to 4k rpm. When i rode the 10 i could gun the throttle on first gear with out having the fear of it coming up , im not sure how this bike will react at full throttle take off on 1st gear. I also weight 150 pounds only, maybe that has a lot to do too.

Congratulations on the new bike.. There are a few of my riding buddies on them here in the OKC area.. I feel the same way about the ZRXOA website (and of course this one).. After I sold my ZRX and got the 12R I felt a little guilty but when you like to read the posts and get to know the hoolies on line you miss them.. Try to keep the front end down!! Mr Bill

Hell I am still trying to get the part when he said he could "gun" the 10 in 1st gear without the worry of the front coming up?????????? WTF!!!!!!...............Your input Jim? On a gixxer note Rog and I saw one for the first time this weekend and they look nice. I would like to ride one. We shagged ass down the road as we all left.

Crash tech the 10R does come up in first gear ; what i meant is that if you take hard from the start it feels kind of slowish on the gas, Im sure with a power commander you can get that stuff out of the way . What i was surprised was to see that the gixxer has a lot of punch in the low end, and i mean that it doesnt feel slugish at all.
I felt the 10 like pausing for like half a second at around 3kRPM and then blasting off all the way to red line. Usually in like 2 and 3rd gear.
I want to try and compare all the gears of the Gixxer with the ones from a ZX10. I was driving on 6th gear and if you punch it ; the gixxer feels strong; sort of like if you had dropped a tooth in the front on a stock 10R. Just my opinion after having ridden both bikes.

Nice ride and you got a black one. EVERYONE KNOWS BLACK IS FASTEST. Especially on the ZX-10.
