I'm thinking about having a set of nitrous pistons make-up.

WIseco "OWNES JE" Since 1999. and Je is a little better than Wiseco in growth control I had my problems with JE who do know more about a ZX12 Pistons than most other companies. Saying that, I am using a set of CP Which I also had to make changes on, but this was a learning process VS anything else. Mahle that make Porsche Pistons and for Jack Roush told me that CP (not JE) were their Closest Competition. In a week or so, I will know how they work out and get back to you.
The less you bore the cylinder, the more cooling and clamping area for head gaskets you will have

Just use the Muzzy JE Pistons w/ the 1mm rings. Less friction=More power.

I do not think Muzzy sells STD Bore Pistons. Also the Compression is high but the DOme Thickness is not thicker to handle a "Heavy" load of NOS (Over a 100 Shot)
