I agree...I've had four exhaust hangers of their break, and they never replace them.

Dino's does not break....love that first batch.

I too am not a fan of LP.

Does this mean LP isn't on your favorites list anymore?

Did you get the rest of the plug out ok?

Dude dont use an air impact to put it on next time.. That sucks... Take a drill and drill a hole in the stock bolt and epoxy in a magnet.

Are you talking about a magnetic oil pan drain bolt? If so, my question is why do you need it? Do magnets really attract aluminum?

Oh, and by the way, I agree. Fuck LP.

Not aluminum but all sorts of other metal debris and shaving that may get into your engine. They are only like 9 bucks or so...

I bought their front end stand years ago because they showed it on the ZX12 in the magazines. Then it started sagging closer and closer to the floor until you can barely get the wheel off. I called them and they said "Well that bike is pretty heavy". Then why the hell do you show it with a ZX12 on it in your advertisement? "Uh,sorry there is nothing we can do". Then a month later I see the same stand on sale in the bike shop and LP has added this additional bracing to the stand right where mine bent. I call them again and they say "We are always undergoing changes to our products". but basically fuck you, you're stuck with the original piece of shit we manufactured!

I have since braced the stand myself and it works well now, but FUCK Lockhart Philips!!! They will never get another dime from me! Customer service is not even a term they have ever heard!

The magnetic plug attracts bearing material. Just an early warning sign.

Harry, no I havent gotten the rest out yet...lol WIll have to drop the pan to do it.

Dave.. yah yah... lefty loosey alright.

EBD, Ill find out today. Shouldnt be too hard to find one.

ZXLNT... I only used a 5' breaker bar to torque it loose... is that bad

I don't think bearing material is magnetic, it is brass and ebbit. The only thing is the cylinder sleeves, and tranny parts that would stick to it. That's my opinion, but I could be wrong. ;o)

The babbit material in bearings is typically a lead/tin alloy. There is a steel backing in a lot of bearings, but if you're collecting that on the magnet, there is BIG problems in the mill.

Steve do not tell them that the common Oil that runs in the transmission also runs into the engine. BTW, do not tell them that shifting the "Steel" Gears sometimes sheds a little of the metal off of the dogs and just the gears mashing against each other put a little metal there also! Did I mention that the cams and cam chains and their gears are also steel? Maybe even the trans main shaft bearings and even the shifter forks are also steel!

The deal with the stand is the same type reason I do not ride a Honda! When my 1983 VFR750F license plate bracket broke off and I lost my plates I found that the new bracket was made with 3 instead of 2 bolts but no one told me!
