oh give me a break, all they were tryin to do is make a buck. and as to their statement about the lack of organization in the sport, well you weren't exactly running well-organized sessions themselves. i'll be happy when stunting gets off populated streets and into a properly orchestrated venu.

Dumbass-that's one choice he won't be making again- I don't care what anyone else does on their bike, but doing shit like this in high population areas is going to kill people-usually the person doing it. I guess it seems exciting when your 21 but I want to live not die naked on a motorcycle.

I never thought I would be saying this ....... but they should fine wheelie people on public hiways and byways $2000.00 that would be a start. The pain of these people training alone for this must cost us all insurance wise even.

...personally, I have no pity for malicious foolishness...I feel bad for the real family and friends who loved him and probably wished he wasn't doing this kind of stuff, though...what a waste of life and talent...I hope the production company is heavily fined, fries into oblivion, and are forbidden from doing this kind of 'money making scheme' for life...

Harsh opinions are really inappropiate. This guy was doing a stunt and had an ACCIDENT that killed him. He did not committ suicide or blow himself up on meth. His actions hardly were not as bad as things can be. He did die doing what he loved. So guys please, offering cruel words to a guy that died riding wheelies vs a guys that dies curving in the mountains is truly a double standard! Dont write cruel words period!! Both are guys that are doing what they love without endangering others, in my opinion. (Both actions are not the smartest however)

There is one fundamental difference between a guy who slides off a mountain road and dies, and some other guy who dies while wheelieing naked: there was no management (or poor management) of risks for the naked guy. This (to me) seems to be the basis of the arguement about people riding without the proper gear. When I ride (or skydive, rappel, etc) I assess the possible risks and then determine the appropriate measures to manage the risks. If the risks are too high, I don't do it. If the risks are manageable, then I will go ahead AFTER I have taken the neccesary steps to manage the risks. To say this naked guy dying is a tragedy is true, but it was avoidable. The same thing with Indian Larry. I have heard people saying "Oh well, at least he died doing what he loved"....what bullshit! They are martyring this fool who refused to wear a helment while doing stunts. I think that Indian Larry was an interesting character, and had some cool ideas about bike building, but this reckless regard for his own life, and the consequences of his actions, is sad. The people he left behind to grieve are victims of his stupidity.

We are living in a society of "Jackass"'s. We watch people doing stupid stunts with a reckless regard for their own safety and in the back of our minds are hoping they crash or get hurt....all so we can go "OWWWWW, that sucks!! Better him than me!. People (Bam What'shisname,Steve-o, Johnny Noxville, the other Jackass cast members, etc) make big money from people paying to see them hurt themselves and others (on top of the Tea Bagging, shitting in public, eating piss snowcones, etc). We pay for the opportunity to see these idiots doing what we would never do.

If there was no market for it, there would be no videos of fools doing wheelies naked, or other stupid shit. Who then is really responsible for this dude's death? Obviously he is, and so is his production company for allowing such stupidity, but without the market for it, ther would be no production company....and since society votes with their wallets, society created that production company (niche market).
