How long before re-packing Muzzy SS exhaust?
Yet another clueless question from your ever friendly clueless wrench Deathpulse!!! I've got about 8000 miles on my Muzzy Full SS exhaust.... and its LOOOOUD. I'm thinking its probably time to change the packing, but is packing only good for 8,000 miles? I took a light and shined the light down the exhaust tube, and I can see "stuff" coming out the canister holes (looks like packing material) - is this an indication that "its time"? Just curious! Thanks guys (gals).

Generally when it becomes "LOUUUUUUUD" the packing is long gone 
id also recommend sending it back to muzzy for the extra 10 dollars or whatever they charge to repack/polish it for you if its the round canister.

Hey thanks YCIS - why send it back to Miuzzy's? Isn't it "easy" to re-pack the canister with Muzzy's re-packing kit?

When you send it in, it's a "rebuild" not merely a repack. Comes back all polished up and nice like new. Doug
