Best jacket for women?

For all you that have ladies who ride, what do they prefer or like for jacket of preference? Which ones seem to fit and feel better? Any pics would be nice.

It is unfortunate that the stealerships dont have much of a selection for women out there. I wanted her to try on some jackets, then I'll go ahead and order the one she wants off the internet. But it would be nice to try each brand on and see how they fit (like you can do for a helmet).

And I know the thing between textile vs leather, but for being a passenger on occassional rides only when the weather is nice, is it worth spending the extra moola for the leather?

Found a Shoei size medium helmet that she likes better than the HJC, just need a jacket next.

Any insight would be appreciated...thanks in advance.

My roommate, she female, tried on an Alpinestar textile. It looked like it had about the same protection as the Joe Rocket she also tried on but the Alpinestar didn't look as bulky. If find that the Joe Rocket stuff can sometimes look at bit road warrior 'ish with all the shoulder and elbow padding bulges as compared to the Alpinestar.

Alpinestar make jackets and pants in female sizes that fit our body shapes. Not the broad shoulder look!!

They have different types and some are not very expensive. They also have lightweight leather so you can be protected and comfy!!! Look on the alpine website.

Tecknic makes nice ladies stuff and the www.buykawasaki.com stuff is nice quality and fit too with some good blowout prices from time to time. My wife has a Fieldsheer 2 pc suit(supersport ?) from www.brocktoncycle.com. FWIW they're great for returns. I ordered 3 Jkts/2 pants and sent back what didn't fit.

We just went through this whole thing with my GF. Jackets, boots, pants... Same deal you're going through with very little selection at stores to actually try something on.

Alpinestars jackets seem to fit really well, but the jacket by itself rode up too high in the back. I guess you need to buy the pants to go with it.

She ended up trying on some smaller men's sizes Teknic jackets, then ordering the smallest they had (38 mens). Fits great, very nice jacket. She also has a ladies Fieldsheer hot weather jacket.

Alpinestars makes boots in smaller sizes.

I think she ordered from Kneedraggers.com or Helmetharbor.com
