Collet Communicator 900

I have been researching communicators and have concluded that the Collet is the one for me. I am ordering a pair tomorrow. I am going to order the Communicator 900 with the second channel. Read about them at http://www.collettcommunicators.com/

They are on sale right now at http://www.collettcommunicators.com/900mhz.htm#5 for $159.95us.

They are giving a discount on orders of 6 or more and dropping the price to $139.95us and including a private club channel for free. Also included in any order right now are NI-MH batteries.

So when I call them tomorrow I am going to see if they will give us a group price even though we would be individual orders, and set us up with the same club channel.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I have the 900s w/intercoms. If you ever carry a passenger, these are the way to go. You lose the second channel for a private channel with your passenger, otherwise you and pasenger are both on the main X-mit channel. Never need 2 channels anyway.

Note the only weakness with Collett is the power cord can short from flexing right next to the unit after LOTS and LOTS of use(meaning way out of the 3 yr warranty). I'd suggest slipping some heat shrink over it to stiffen it up a bit. When I sent mine back after a failed cord this is what I did. This was a no charge service and the newer upgrades were done for FREE while they were there.

WE use 'em year round on the sleds and bikes.

Edit: Prolly just a sales ploy but they always include the NiMH batteries, the good thing is they are memory free.
